Andy Boyd brings decades of award-winning expertise in knowledge management consulting to large multinational businesses. He specializes in delivering measurable value through Communities of Practice, Practice Replication, Knowledge Retention, and Lessons Capture/embedment.
Andy also provides strategic guidance to senior leaders and responsible managers, ensuring the sustained success of Knowledge Management initiatives.
Andy founded the Knowledge Management work at Royal Dutch Shell, creating the first Community of Practice in 1988—well before the advent of the internet and personal computers. Over the next 30 years, he expanded these efforts, winning seven Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Awards and adding over $2 billion in value to Shell through cost reductions and avoidance.
After successfully meeting Shell’s Billion Dollar Challenge from the Chief Engineer, Andy transitioned to consulting for other large multinationals, helping them avoid common pitfalls and guiding them to share knowledge globally through proven, time-tested processes.
